The current ohio unemployment rate has been hovering about seven percent for the past three years. While this rate is considered high, it is still much lower then the unemployment rate in many other cities and states. The latest U. S. unemployment report was released today in the media, which revealed that over two hundred thousand jobs have been created in the last quarter. This was definitely good news for the president and house of representatives, however, this news really didn’t mean much to the nation’s unemployed. This includes all the unemployed individuals currently in living in the state of Ohio. The majority of the state’s current unemployed live in Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo. The next big news event these individuals will be looking for is the next congressional session to discuss another unemployment extension. The previous extension ends in February, where many people are hoping that the next one last through December 2012.
